SENIOR CORPS RSVP

RSVP (The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) of Northern Fairfield County reinvests the
knowledge, talents and skills of persons 55 and older back into the community through meaningful, productive and satisfying volunteer activities. RSVP volunteers enhance and provide support services to local non-profit programs and agencies that address community problems and needs. The staff at RSVP of Northern Fairfield County encourages an active healthy life for the individual person as a volunteer.
RSVP is sponsored by the Community Action Committee Of Danbury and is administered by National Service Senior Corps, a network of over 760 national service programs that provides over half a million Americans 55 and over the opportunity to apply their life experiences in a diverse range of volunteer opportunities. RSVP of Northern Fairfield County has been sponsored by the Community Action Committee of Danbury for over 3 years, in the calendar year of 2010, over 500 active volunteers nearly 79,000 hours of service to over 85 non-profit organizations, public agencies and faith based groups. The towns served by the program include: Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Newtown, New Fairfield, Redding Ridgefield, New Milford and Sherman.

-RSVP continually supports community agencies and their mission through recruitment and engagement of the volunteers to address community needs through collaboration.
