Programs Overview
CACD offer a wide-variety of support services aimed at helping people of all ages who come to our doors in need of assistance. Some of our more prominent programs are listed below:
Action Early Learning Center- Is an early childcare education program serving 125 children from low-income families, ranging in age from 18 months to 6 years-old.
Diaper Program Is a program that provides free diapers and wipes once a month to low-income families in CACD’s service delivery area.
CACD Food Pantry
Being one of the largest pantries in Danbury, CACD provides income eligible families with healthy and nutritious food.
Energy Assistance
Is a program that helps income-eligible people who have difficulty paying the cost of hearing their homes during the cold months.
Housing Services
Offers individuals and families opportunities with their housing needs
Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
Offers free tax preparation to low-to moderate income people who are unable to prepare their own tax returns.
Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Is a nationwide program offered at CACD the places volunteers ages 55 and over in a wide variety of meaningful and challenging volunteer opportunities throughout the greater Danbury area.
Financial Literacy
Is a program that offers a multitude of trainings to clients in need of financial stability.
